Time for Change
I wrote the following two years ago when I first ran for this office – nothing has changed, isn’t it time you elected someone who cares.
We all watched again this year the pure silliness that seems to go on at the state legislature—otherwise grown people more concerned with partisan politics and playing games than doing what’s right for the citizens of Indiana. From threats to boycotts to hurt feelings, it’s been business-as-usual at the state house.
It’s time for a real change by putting a real person in office to represent District 29!
We need someone who has the same concerns and is worried about the same things that you are, that your friends and neighbors are, that most real people are. We need someone who has good ideas and the fortitude to push those ideas through in the face of adversity and partisan politics and, as importantly, is more than willing to listen, understand, and champion someone else’s good idea regardless of their party affiliation.
We need someone who is more concerned about doing what is best for the every citizens of Indiana than what is best for some special interest group or party politics. We need someone who has not been in state legislature for so long that they have lost touch with real people—the people who pay their salary.
We need Joe Weingarten!
